Acai Berry Scams Crackdown by the FTC
Apr 26th
Finally the FTC is cracking down on fake acai weight loss products from propagating their deceptive claims through out the Internet. A lot of these websites pose as fake news sites complete with reporters who claim to have lost weight using these acai products.
The FTC has asked federal courts to stop 10 websites for allegedly deceptive tactics to sell acai berry weight loss products to people online. The FTC claims that everything about these sites are fake including the weight loss results, the investigations (so-called), and even the reporters are fake.
The FTC has asked the courts to force the companies to provide refunds to customers who purchased these acai berry supplements from these misleading websites. These websites have reportedly sold millions of dollars worth of inferior acai berry products under the weight loss scheme that is utter nonsense. The products these sites were selling was junk and there is no way people were losing weight because of these products.
These acai berry scam websites have been a problem to the acai industry for a long time and it seems like they could finally be shut down due to their actions, but is it too late? Have they already done too much damage to the industry?
